Your skills could be just what we need.
Reach Community Projects and Haverhill Foodbank has provided support to local people in crisis for over 10 years. As well as the Foodbank service, we provide debt counselling and support to clients with form filling, benefits advice and much more.
We are currently looking for help with the following areas:
Do you have a good listening ear and an empathetic nature? If so, perhaps you could be a client support counsellor for Reach Community Projects. Tasks include interviewing clients to establish the key points of their problems. Experience is not necessary but a good level of literacy and numeracy is required, along with the ability to be open minded and not judgemental.
Want to volunteer but can’t give up time during the week? Why not come along to help out with the Saturday Crew. Pack food parcels, enter data, drive the Foodbank van, stock check plus there is cake.
Meet and Greet Team
Are you a cheerful person with the ability to get on with people? Our lovely Meet and Greet Team put clients at ease when they arrive at the Reach Resource Centre with a chat or a cuppa. We ask our volunteers to commit to a minimum of one afternoon per week.
Our aim is to take people out of poverty. We are seeking more debt advisers to help struggling families and individuals.
If you are interested in volunteering please get in touch, we’d love to hear from you!
